For the activities described here, the SA‑NT project acts as the controller: it decides why and how personal data is used. This notice covers sa-nt.com, Founding Circle registrations, enquiries and invited private-pilot use.

Product sales and subscriptions will have a final customer privacy notice before purchase. Employers or organisations running their own pilot may also be controllers under a separate agreement.

SA‑NT is not designed for children, medical records, emergency response or covert recording. Please do not submit special-category or highly sensitive information unless an approved pilot explicitly requires and protects it.

To provide the service and pilot: capture what you ask for, return useful summaries, carry out confirmed actions, operate devices and support your account. The legal basis is performance of an agreement or steps you request before one.

With your consent: send Founding Circle updates, connect optional services, or run non-essential analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time.

For legitimate interests: secure the service, prevent abuse, improve reliability and understand aggregate product use, after balancing those interests against your rights.

To meet legal obligations: keep records required by law and respond to valid legal requests.

The device is designed around explicit capture, a visible recording state, haptic confirmation and a hardware privacy control. Those signals do not replace permission. The person using SA‑NT is responsible for telling other people and obtaining any consent required by local law or workplace policy.

Automated systems may transcribe, summarise and rank information. They can be wrong. SA‑NT should show its reasoning or source context where practical, and consequential actions require confirmation. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automation.

Deletion from active systems may be followed by a limited backup-expiry period. We will publish the final backup and operational-log schedule before general availability.

We use specialist providers for hosting, communications, speech processing, AI inference, analytics and support. They receive only the data needed for their task and must act under contract. A current subprocessor register, including locations and safeguards, will be published before commercial launch.

If data is processed outside the EEA, SA‑NT will use an adequacy decision or another lawful safeguard such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data or use it for behavioural advertising.

Production settings and provider contracts are intended to prevent customer content being used to train general-purpose models. That control must be contractually verified before launch. Security measures include encryption in transit and at rest, scoped credentials, device identity, audit events and restricted operator access. No system is risk-free.

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive your personal data, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email privacy@sa-nt.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland or your local supervisory authority.

Essential cookies or local storage may be used for security and session continuity. Non-essential analytics will remain off until you choose them.

We will update this notice as the pilot, legal entity and supplier set mature. Material changes will be called out here and, where appropriate, sent to registered participants.

Who these terms are with

SA‑NT is currently a development-stage project based in Helsinki. The final contracting entity, registered address and business ID will be published before paid access. Questions may be sent to legal@sa-nt.com.

Website and Founding Circle

You may browse the website, request early access and contribute research feedback. Joining the Founding Circle does not create a purchase, reservation, investment, employment relationship or guarantee that a device will ship. Benefits, timing, quantities, specifications and pricing may change while the product is developed.

You must provide accurate details and be at least 18 years old.

Private pilot

Pilot access is personal, limited, revocable and may be governed by a separate invitation, NDA, device-loan agreement or data-processing arrangement. Prototype hardware remains SA‑NT property unless agreed otherwise and must be handled, charged and returned as instructed.

The service may change, pause, lose data or behave unexpectedly. Back up anything important and do not rely on the pilot for emergencies, safety-critical tasks or guaranteed availability.

Capture, recording and other people

You control when you ask SA‑NT to capture. Visible lights, sounds or haptics help communicate state but do not themselves create legal consent. You are responsible for telling people nearby, obtaining any required permission and following local recording, confidentiality and workplace rules.

Do not use SA‑NT for covert surveillance, harassment, biometric identification, unlawful monitoring or to capture material you have no right to process.

AI output and confirmed actions

Transcripts, summaries, recommendations and generated speech may be incomplete or wrong. Check important names, dates, amounts, commitments and instructions. SA‑NT is not a medical, legal, financial or emergency service.

Consequential external actions should require your explicit confirmation. You remain responsible for decisions you make and for reviewing any action carried out on your instruction.

Acceptable use

You must not break the law; infringe privacy, intellectual-property or confidentiality rights; attempt to defeat security; reverse engineer protected services except where law permits it; overload the service; distribute malware; impersonate others; or use SA‑NT to produce or facilitate harm.

We may limit or suspend access to protect people, the service or the pilot.

Your material and our work

You keep ownership of material you submit. You grant SA‑NT the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit and transform it to provide and secure the pilot. You confirm you have the rights required to submit it.

SA‑NT’s brand, product designs, software, documentation and original content remain protected by intellectual-property law. Feedback may be used to improve the product without restriction or payment, but we will not publicly attribute it to you without permission.

Privacy and confidentiality

Our privacy notice explains personal-data handling. A private pilot may expose confidential product information. Keep non-public hardware, software, pricing and roadmap details confidential when your invitation or NDA says so.

Responsibility

The pre-launch website and pilot are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent law allows. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights. Separate commercial terms will define warranties, remedies and liability before sale.

Changes, ending access and law

We may update these terms as the project matures. Material changes will be identified here and, where appropriate, sent to participants. You may stop using the website or pilot at any time; obligations concerning confidentiality, intellectual property, responsibility and lawful records may survive.

These terms are governed by Finnish law, subject to any mandatory protections available in your country. Disputes should first be raised at legal@sa-nt.com. Nothing prevents a consumer from using the courts or authorities available under mandatory law.
