My phone was stolen — what do I do first?

One word, from any phone that can text my number: lockdown. It works from a borrowed phone, a friend's phone, a hotel phone — that's the point. The instant it lands, I freeze: no outbound messages, no purchases, no erasure, no exports, nothing leaves on your behalf, no matter who texts me from your number.

Locking is deliberately easy and needs no proof — a false alarm costs you nothing but a sentence. Unlocking is deliberately hard: it takes your recovery phrase, the sentence only you know. So a thief holding your phone can lock you down (annoying, harmless) but can never unlock you, never spend, never erase, and never export your life.

Once you have your number back — new SIM, same number — say lift lockdown with your recovery phrase and everything resumes exactly where it stopped.
